Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is tailored to you as an individual. Chinese herbs are very safe when prescribed correctly by a properly trained practitioner.

The practitioner will make a diagnosis based on your personal history and the characteristics of your tongue and pulse. You will be asked about any medication you are currently taking and any previous or current illnesses. All of this information is taken into account before providing herbal medicine. The practitioner would then determine the best herbal prescription for you.

Chinese medicine can be used by people of any age including pregnant women, infertility patients and children.

Herbs are usually taken as a tea but can be prescribed in pill form.

Acupuncture alongside Chinese herbal medicine would complement and enhance treatment.

Is it safe?

Any form of medicine can cause an adverse reaction. However, in the case of Chinese herbal medicine these are rare.
